New Beginnings

Most of you know that Tandon has been searching for a better job since we moved here last summer. The failing economy becomes very evident when you are on the job hunt. We began broadening our search to all the mid west states thinking maybe we were supposed to move somewhere else. I have been so proud of Tandon's diligence the last couple of months. Even when it felt like he had searched and researched, sent out resumes and called every company he might qualify for, he continued to search and pray to no avail. A few jobs came up that we knew were not for us, so we turned them down and continued to search.

God is faithful!! Tandon accepted a position with Lumber Liquidators on Wednesday. He is going to manage the new store they are opening in NWA. It was amazing to see how God worked out all the little details. I never want to forget the amazing way that God has taken care of us, both in opening this door and in sustaining us in unusual ways over the past few months. Tandon and I hope that this new season of life will allow us to give generously as others have given to us.

Luke 12:24 "Consider the raven, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!"

On a lighter note, that is a picture of the tree in our backyard. Isn't it beautiful? I love that Arkansas has 4 distinct seasons!

Congrats, Tandon! And thanks for sharing this, Shawn. It is so inspiring to learn of your trust in God and His provisions. I have been struggling with that a bit lately so I really appreciate your post. :-)
