Went on a date with this handsome guy.
He chose to go to Starbucks to drink hot chocolate and sit in tall chairs.
I vetoed hot chocolate since it is 107 degrees here and he agreed to a cold-hot chocolate. (aka cookie crumble frappe without the coffee.)
On the way there, he acted slightly nervous and tried to appear mature. Said, "I can buckle myself and when we get there, I'll find us a seat while you get our cold-hot chocolate."
Grandma called while we were driving and I asked Kellen if he would mind if I answered. "No." He said, "We are too busy. We have lots to talk about."
Spent 25 minutes trying to communicate that my son is important enough to drop everything and focus on him. We talked about whatever Kellen wanted to talk about.
Topics were not deep or even important (in my world), but included: fishing, the ladies hat blowing across the parking lot, the decorations at Starbucks, transformers, our tall chairs
Spent a large portion of time taking our picture in the parking lot and laughing at silly faces.
Love this guy!! And count it a privilege to be called his mom!
