Noman

I got this picture in a text this morning while I was in the waiting room at the Dr's office. (Who, by the way, was running an hour late. sigh!)

Tandon and Kellen somehow managed to make this little guy out of our 1 inch of snow from last night.

I can only imagine Kellen's excitement to see a REAL "noman." Tandon said that Kellen insisted on giving "noman" high five, knucks, and hugs.

Kellen's favorite Christmas song this year has been Frosty the Snowman. A few nights ago we heard him singing from his crib after we put him to bed. It went something like this: "Noman, noman, fosty noman. Eyes, nose, mouf. Noman." I'd say he got the gist of the first verse of Frosty fairly well. :)
I'm sad to have missed Kellen's first real snowman, but the text message sure brightened my hour in the waiting room.

Christmas-Part 2

We spent Sunday and Monday at a resort on Grand Lake in Oklahoma celebrating Christmas with my parents, brother, and his family. No one knew if I would be bed ridden at this point in my pregnancy or not (luckily NOT!), so my family graciously agreed to travel East this year for Christmas. We spent most of our time laughing at the kids! When the kids were sleeping we played games and relaxed.

Our makeshift Christmas tree.

The two munchkins. There are only four days difference in their age. I think they had a blast together! Kellen calls her "Minah" instead of Miah. At one point he asked her to pick him up and proceeded to wrap his arms around her and lean. Needless to say, it didn't work out so well. :)

Handing out presents.

Enjoying the new presents.

Much to his daddy's dismay, Kellen enjoyed Miah's new baby doll as much as his new workbench and tools (which I failed to get a picture of).

Elmo slippers!

Watching their new movie. Look how much bigger Kellen is than Miah!!

Ring Around the Rosie.

Which turned into hugging time.

Thank you guys for making the long trip out here so that we could celebrate Chirst's birth as a family! I wish we lived closer so that we could get the kids together more often!!

Christmas-Part 1

We had our first Christmas celebration on Saturday with my mom's side of the family. All total there were 31 people, tons of food, numerous games, and lots of laughs! Here are a few pictures from our day.

Kellen at the motel watching TV while Tandon and I got ready for the day. He looks SO big in this picture!!

Mema and Poppy listening to the Christmas story being read.

Stealing pumpkin pie from Peepaw.

Playing blocks with his buddy Zayne.

Reading with Poppy. Notice they are reading a flyer from the mail. :) Kellen remembers Poppy reading a story to him last time we visited, so Poppy was the designated reader of any "book" Kellen could find. What a sweet memory!!

Two of the great-grandkids with Mema and Poppy.

LL Christmas Party

Tonight was the Lumber Liquidator's Christmas Party. Since the company is a sponsor of professional bowling we had a bowling party. It was actually more fun than I had anticipated.

Tandon and his assistant manager in their bowling attire. The wives didn't get shirts. I'm sure I would have bowled much better had I had on a professional shirt. :)

We all ate our weight in pizza. Actually, Kellen probably ate MY weight in pizza. Haha! This is our 29 inch pizza!

I was losing so badly that I eventually let Kellen bowl for me. He had a blast. By the way, there's a reason you don't see many pregnant women at bowling alleys. I began to feel muscles in my stomach that I didn't even know I had, so it's probably good I let Kellen take over. His score wasn't much worse than mine anyway, but it gave me a legitimate reason for my low score. :)

His favorite activity was standing in front of the hand dryer.

It was a fun, family oriented Christmas party. Thanks Lumber Liquidators!

The Tree

Kellen asked: "Helt (help), ride." I had to explain to him that the the 'ractor was too little to ride. Haha!

Wire hangers were the easiest for his little hands.

Kellen's work -- 4 ornaments on two branches.

The finished product! Do you see his cluster--front and center? :)

'ractor

We went to Home Depot to get a Christmas tree this evening. While Tandon and I were discussing which one to get, Kellen wondered off. We turned around to find him here. . .

The boy is in LOVE with 'ractors!! He was not a happy camper when we had to leave the store without actually driving the 'ractor.

Nightly Ritual

I've started teaching Kellen to take his own socks and shoes off every evening before bed. However, it always turns into a crying fest, with Kellen repeating "helt" (help) and making horrible faces. He's perfectly capable, but unwilling to try because it is slightly challenging. Tonight I brought out the camera to document the drama.

When he saw the camera he ceased all crying and said "mile" (smile). Ha!

But that didn't last very long.

He eventually got his shoes off and had to move onto the socks.

After about 5 minutes of carrying on, he realized that no one was going to "helt" him so he focused and was able to remove his last sock.

What am I going to do with this boy?!?
