Whirlwind

Well, we survived the trip to the panhandle. What normally takes 8 hours took us 11 hours to drive, but we made it there and back.

Stopped in briefly to see my mom and grandparents on the way. They were thrilled to see the kids again.

While in Oklahoma, Kellen held and touched every animal he could get close to.

He also rode on every farm vehicle imaginable. He was in hog heaven!

On the way home, we were able to work in a visit with my grandmother. She had not met Anna yet, so it was a special time.

The road trip was VERY long, but both kids did fabulous!! My mom sent a surprise bag along for Kellen to open a gift every hour or so. That helped pass the time. We also borrowed a DVD player, although Kellen didn't watch it as much as I thought he would.
Anna did great until the last 20 minutes. Right before we got home she decided she was DONE riding in the car seat and she let all of NW Arkansas know about it. LOL! When I was finally taking her out of her car seat she looked up at me with flaming red eyebrows from having screamed for the past 20 minutes and grinned from ear to ear. Ha! So, for all the relatives that wanted to know if she ever cries...not very often, but she sure can scream. :)

Glad your trip went well! I love the surprise bag idea---I will have to do that in the future :-).
